Why Don’t Left-Wing Groups Collaborate?

Posted on 2025-02-12 by lsitongia

I’ve been in and out of left-of-center groups for decades. From my beginning I’ve observed how many groups there are and how much they disagree with each other, leading to a weak front against opposition. Call it divide and be conquered.

I started looking into one of the most active and visible “movements”, namely Indivisible. There are seven different Indivisible groups in my county. It’s a small county. Some of the reasons for different groups appear to be pretty arbitrary. I can imagine that there are people across the street from each other and are members of different Indivisible groups.

Makes the name of the “movement” ironic, doesn’t it?

Why do we so often draw boundary around ourselves and others?

The Tower

O may the moon and sunlight seem One inextricable beam,

For if I triumph I must make men mad.
