Military-Industrial Complex’s New Domestic Market

There are a few good articles in Consortium News (consortiumnews.com) that are in the concept space of military spending in the USA. It is obvious that the Defense budget is obscene. But, beyond that, there are huge long-term expenditures for fighter jets and nuclear submarines. What is the USA planning, war with China? There is no policy justification for this level of spending. It is all about the money, and feeding the military-industrial complex, redistributing tax dollars to private defense corporations. What’s worse is that the contractors have realized that there’s a wonderful (for them) domestic market and so have drummed up domestic paranoia so that they can justify marketing to local police forces. This militarization of local authorities will be very handing to the uber-wealthy when the time comes for them to assert the ultimate power over American lives.
