Paul Krugman has a column about the right-wing attacks on Niel deGrasse Tyson. I think Krugman is an important intellectual source of valid data and argument and I respect him a great deal. However, in the case of this column, I am surprised that Krugman would address Tyson as “Mr.” Tyson. Why would one Ph.D not address the other appropriate for a peer, as “Dr.” Tyson? I’m surprised, since my first reaction is to take is as insulting, and I think that Krugman is a respectable person.
