We need a toolkit for apps, especially social apps. Like the old days of game tool kits, where users contribute to building games, or at least, game worlds. Some are working on enabling programming for non-programming. Better, I think, is that plus rich tool kits. People are going to come up with their own ideas. We don’t need entrepreneurs striking it rich on little special-purpose apps ( “Yo” is the extreme example), we need to enable everyone’s creativity to create apps. This is the meta-level that we need to reach next.
