Morons Are Governing America #MAGA

Polls have often shown that Trump supporters believe demonstrable falsehoods, yet have adopted Trump’s identification of inconvenient facts as “fake news”. There are multiple ways to explain such behavior. They are simply conned by propaganda. they ignore everything during the ecstasy of finding someone who promises to fulfill their hopes and dreams. There’s relevance for all of this. More fundamental is that they are either unable to reason from facts to a valid conclusion or are given false data and correctly reason to the wrong conclusion. It’s stupid to be unable to reason. OTOH, who doesn’t question their assumptions, especially when challenged by a large number of opposing views. Climate change denial is an especially clear example. the inability to consider alternative assumptions is a level of stupidity. More than that, they have given their ill-conceived support to a leader who has granted power to ones who ignore, or even defeat,  the reasoning that put them in power. That is moronic.
